SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all shoppers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
